According to study conducted by the University of Miami School of Medicine, Energy drinks have serious adverse effects on children’s health.
Their study says that energy drinks can put kids, especially those with diabetes, seizures, cardiac abnormalities, or mood and behaviour disorders, at severe health risks apart from making them hyper-active, reported the nbcmiami.com.
Surveys say 50 per cent of adolescents account for half of the energy drink market.
The study says these beverages — rich in caffeine, taurine and guarana — aren’t advisable for kids; it warns an overdose can cause seizures, strokes and instant death.
